Be a Leader Who Makes a Difference: Positive Influence in the Workplace

    Speaker:  Paul McMurray

    Learning Objectives:

    • Learning a powerful model for behavior change
    • making the undesirable desirable
    • Exceeding your personal limits
    • Finding strength in numbers
    • Structuring rewards and demanding accountability

    . About the Program:

"The best leaders know how to get individuals to work together to accomplish goals. In contrast, we struggle to enable our colleagues to complete projects on time and on budget. We do our best to motivate employees to demonstrate more concern for profitability or follow procedures, but we regularly fall short.

In spite of the fact that we're routinely trying to alter behavior, few of us can articulate an effective strategy to create this behavior change. It's time this changed. By drawing from he skills of many of the world's best change agents and combining them with five decades of social-science research, influencer Training creates a powerful and portable model for behavior change.

Organizers around the world have turned to Influencer Training to improve bottom-line results like workplace safety, customer service, complacence, and profitability.

    About the Speaker:

For more than 20 years, Paul has worked with organizations to help them transform their cultures so employees can openly discuss delicate issues and hold one another accountable.

As a VitalSmarts Certified Master Trainer, Paul has an extensive background in training Crucial Conversation, Crucial Accountability and Influencer, and in certifying trainers of these programs. Since 2004, Paul has focused his organization's work on communications and leadership. He has had the opportunity to speak on and teach these concepts all over the world to all types of organizations from Dubai to Malaysia and Trinidad to Toronto.

Paul has 10 years of teaching in higher education, three years at Penn State University and seven years at Monroe Community College in Rochester, NY. He has a master's degree in Economics, is an executive coach and is working on his Ph.D. in Business Psychology.
