    • Identifying skills and compentencies required for a new hire to be sucessful
    • Creating behavioral interview questions to correctly identify if a candidate has those skills and compentencies

    Are you overwhelmed with "bad" hires and rehiring for the same positions over and over? What is the true cost of making a bad hiring decision? Spending a little more time preparing for and conducting interviews for hiring the "right" person can save you valuable time and money!  This interactive session will provide information and resources on identifying skills and competencies and how to conduct "Behavioral Interviews". You will understand the value they bring to hiring the "right" person."The best leaders know how to get individuals to work together to accomplish goals. In constrast, we struggle to enable our colleagues to complete projects on time and on budget. We do our best to motivate employees to demonstrate more concern for profitability or follow procedures, but we regualry fall short.

     About the Speaker:

    A native of the Winchester area, Judy has been working in the field of HR for 20 years.  PHR Certified in 1997, she has HR experience in the manufacturing, financial industry, healthcare, and public service.  Judy has been consulting for the past 5 years, and in addition works as an adjunct trainer for Workforce Solutions-LFCC.  She has an undergraduate degree in management from James Madison University and a Master of Business Administration from Shenandoah University.  She has a Master Certificate in Public Administration and is certified as a DDI Instructor.  Judy has helped multiple businesses in the area with Organizational Development and HR Strategic Initiatives.  Judy has been a presenter at more than 200 classes, seminars, and professional organizations.  She has been a presenter for the national conference of Healthcare Source in Boston, MA.  Judy and her husband Steve have been married for 21 years and they have a handsome six year old son, Eli.
