    Program Information: 
    Workers’ Compensation Claims in Maryland: A discussion from a defense attorney’s perspective on how to best minimize the impact of your workers’ compensation claims and in the event a work place injury does occur, an analysis of what your responsibilities are as the employer. 

    The presentation will include an analysis of what information your defense attorney will need from you in order to most successfully defend the claim. 

    Speaker Bio: 
    Veronica Love is an associate with the law firm of Semmes, Bowen and Semmes. She is a member of the Firm’s Employer Liability and Workers’ Compensation Department. 

    The sole focus of Veronica’s practice is the representation of employers, insurers, self-insurers and third-party administrators in the defense of their workers’ compensation claims in the State of Maryland.

    From the Firms’ western Maryland office in Hagerstown, Maryland, Veronica has tried numerous administrative hearings before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission, litigated jury trials at the circuit court level and argued before Maryland’s appellate courts.

    In addition to her daily practice, Veronica routinely provides training to her clients regarding all aspects of workers’ compensation matters in Maryland.
